Training plans and daily sessions
What it is
Three ways to know what to train, all built from your profile (sport, age, level, positions, focus areas, session length):
- Today's session: a ready-made session for the day, broken into timed blocks.
- A training plan: a multi-week schedule an AI coach writes for a goal you pick.
- A quick workout: a single focused session you ask for on the spot.
The Today page pulls it together: today's session, today's plan day, workouts and lessons your coach sent, calendar events, and plan days you missed.
How to use it
- Open Today (web) or Training (mobile) to see what you owe today.
- For the daily session, open it and tap Start on each block to run its timer (a short tone plays when time is up). Mark the whole session complete when you finish. That saves it and checks you in for the day.
- For a plan, choose New plan, then enter your goal, focus areas, how many weeks (4 to 12) and how many days a week (2 to 6). On the web you also pick the exact weekdays and a start date, which puts each plan day on your calendar. Generating the plan can take up to a minute.
- Tick a plan day done with one tap. Tapping again takes it back. When every day is done the plan is marked complete.
- For a quick workout, pick a focus (for example hitting or fielding) and generate one session. The mobile app runs it block by block with a session runner.
Rules and limits
- Training plans need the Training plan or higher. Without it, creating a plan tells you to upgrade in Settings, Plan.
- The daily session and the quick workout are not gated by plan.
- Everything needs a finished athlete profile.
- A plan day counts as a day trained, so ticking one adds to your Days In the Circle streak.
- Plans without a start date do not appear on Today until they have a schedule.
Edge cases
- Today's session is created the first time you open the dashboard, Today or Sessions that day, then stays the same for the day. Change your profile and tomorrow's session reflects it.
- If no session matches your profile you see a message that the catalog does not have a template for you yet.
- Plans made in the mobile app currently only ask for a number of days a week, so they have no start date and show no calendar days until a schedule is set. The web plan form sets one.
- If AI is not configured on the server, generating a plan or quick workout fails with a service message.
