My coaches and teams

What it is

My coaches lists everyone who can assign you training and follow your progress: the coaches on each team you are on, and any private coaches you work with, such as a hitting or pitching coach. It also lets you leave a team or stop working with a private coach, and shows you what coaches have actually done with your profile.

How to use it

1. Open My coaches from the menu. Each of your teams has its own group, with its coaches and their roles. Private coaches are listed below the teams.
2. To leave a team, tap Leave team beside the team name and confirm. To stop working with a private coach, tap Remove beside their name and confirm.
3. To bring in a coach who is not on your team, use Invite a coach on the same page. Choose what they help with, such as hitting, and send the invite by email or copy a link.
4. Scroll to Coach activity to see when a coach opened your profile or gave you work.
5. In the mobile app, Home shows your team card with your team and its coaches, and your outside coaches are managed from your profile.

Rules and limits

• Leaving a team or removing a private coach is done on the web. The mobile app shows the same team and coach information but has no leave or remove button.
• When you leave a team, its coaches stop seeing your training and cannot assign you work. Removing a private coach does the same for that coach.
• If you are a minor, leaving or removing waits for a parent or guardian to approve. You are told it was sent, and nothing changes until they say yes. Any linked guardian can decide, and the first answer counts.
• Adults make the change right away.
• Inviting a coach yourself is for athletes 18 and over. For a younger player, a parent invites the coach from their side.
• A coach who accepts a link invite is not connected until you confirm them. An invite sent to one email address only works for that address.
• Coaches on your team's staff can reach everyone on the roster. The Coach activity list is there so you can see who looked and what they did.
• The app only shows coach names and roles. It does not show a coach's email to you in the mobile app.

Edge cases

• A coach who is both on your team and a private coach shows up once, as team staff.
• With no team and no coach you see a note that coaches show up when they invite you.
• An invite you sent expires after 14 days, and you can have up to 10 open at once.
