Check-ins and Days In the Circle

What it is

Your streak is called Days In the Circle: the number of days in a row you checked in. A check-in is either a day you trained (a session) or a planned Rest Day. You can see your current streak, your longest ever, and how much of your weekly goal you have done.

How to use it

  1. On your dashboard, use the Check in card. Choose to step in (you trained today) or take a Rest Day. The web card also lets you log other work you did.
  2. You usually do not have to tap anything: finishing today's session, ticking off a day of your training plan, finishing a workout your coach assigned, logging an unplanned workout, marking a practice you attended, or marking a drill as practiced all check you in for the day.
  3. In the mobile app, Home shows your streak and a Rest day button while you have not checked in yet and one is available.

Rules and limits

  • One check-in per day. The first one for the day is the one that counts; a second attempt returns the first.
  • A Rest Day keeps your streak alive but does not count toward your weekly completion. You get one Rest Day in any rolling 7 days (today included). If you have used it, you are told to come back for a session.
  • Weekly completion is your sessions in the last 7 days divided by the training days per week you set in onboarding, capped at 100 percent. It is a rolling 7 days, not a calendar week.
  • If you have not checked in yet today, your streak still shows yesterday's count until the day ends.
  • Only athletes check in. A parent cannot check in for a child, and coaches cannot either; parents and coaches can see the numbers.

Edge cases

  • Days roll over at midnight UTC, not at midnight where you live. In the US that means evening check-ins can land on the next day.
  • Unticking a plan day, or reopening a finished practice or workout, does not take back the check-in it created.
  • If you take a Rest Day and then train the same day, the day stays a Rest Day. The check-in was already taken.
  • You need a finished athlete profile before you can check in.
