Reason 1

Your whole roster joins in one practice.

Most apps ask every player to find the app, make an account and then wait for an invite. Here the coach holds up a phone at practice and everyone scans the same QR code.

  1. 01

    Show the QR

Open Invite Athletes on your coach dashboard, or print the flyer for the dugout fence.

  2. 02

    Athletes scan

Each scan opens a signup already tied to your team, with sport, position and age set from what they enter.

  3. 03

    They're on the roster

No codes to type, no email list, nothing for you to approve one by one.

How the QR roster works

Reason 2

Built for softball and baseball, not every sport.

Cross-sport training apps treat a softball roster as a strength-and-conditioning group. Next Athletix does two sports, so the position work is the point rather than an add-on.

A softball catcher's week

Receiving off a partner's front toss, blocking reps on a mat, and throwing volume kept at the low end of the range because catchers take the most abuse from bad volume. Tee and front toss on hitting days.

A baseball pitcher's week

A throwing progression that climbs one step a week and comes back down before the season, flat-ground work before anything off a mound, and arm-care and trunk work in the conditioning block.

Softball and baseball each have their own drill paths, with equal weight. A softball session is not a baseball session with the word swapped.

Reason 3

A daily session that gets finished.

A 35-minute session gets done on a school night. A 90-minute one waits for a weekend that never comes. The plan is built for the first kind.

Four timed blocks

Warm-up, skill work, conditioning and cool-down, 30 to 45 minutes in total, with a timer on every block.

Cues for the position

Sessions are built for the athlete's sport, position and age, so a 12U outfielder and a high-school shortstop do different work.

Solo, partner or indoor

Every drill is flagged for where it can be done, so a player without a field or a partner still has a session tonight.

Reason 4

One system for coach, athlete and parent.

Training works when everyone is looking at the same thing. Each role sees its own view of the same record, and none of them has to ask the others what happened.

Coach

Assign the session to the roster and see every athlete's streak and sessions completed this week, with staff roles for assistants.

For coaches

Athlete

Open the app and today's session is waiting. Your streak and your teammates' consistency do most of the motivating.

For athletes

Parent

See your athlete's streak and session history, the same numbers the coach sees for that one player. Not the rest of the roster.

For parents

Reason 5

Visibility, not surveillance.

Your roster board shows who is on a run and who has gone quiet, so you know in October who is actually training. You are not the enforcer, and the app never nags a kid.

Parents see the work

The parent view is built to show her work, not to monitor her activity. It informs and does not control.

Missed days stay neutral

No guilt copy and no shaming notifications. Every streak ends, and the next one starts the same day.

Reason 6

Free for coaches, simple for families.

A coach account is $0 with no card required, and nothing is ever billed to you. Athletes subscribe on their own account, so there is nothing for a coach to collect.

Honest scope

What it doesn't try to do.

It does one job: assign the daily work and show who did it. For anything below, use the tool built for it and run Next Athletix alongside.

Not a scheduler

No game calendar, carpools or availability polls. Keep using your scheduling app.

Not video analysis

No swing or pitch breakdowns. Use a lesson coach or a video tool for frame-by-frame.

Not a scorekeeper

No box scores or live game stats.

Not a recruiting service

It never promises a roster spot, exposure or a scholarship. It builds the habit and the record of showing up.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a general fitness or team app?

Most team apps handle scheduling, messaging or scores, and most training apps cover every sport. Next Athletix only does softball and baseball training: position-specific daily sessions assigned to a roster, with a board that shows who did the work. It sits alongside your scheduler and scorekeeper rather than replacing them.

Will it get my athlete recruited?

We don't promise that and never will. Next Athletix is the daily reps and the habit. Consistent work builds a visible record of showing up, and that is the part we can honestly offer. Roster spots, exposure and scholarships are decided by coaches, not by an app.

What does it cost?

A coach account is free, with no card required. Athletes subscribe individually: a free account includes one sample session a week, and the full daily plan is $20 a month per athlete with a 7-day free trial. Nothing is billed to the coach.

How long does it take to get a team set up?

A few minutes. Create your team, open the invite screen, and hold the QR code up at practice. Each athlete scans it, signs up, and lands on your roster.

What about athletes under 13?

A parent creates the account first and connects the athlete to the team from the same invite, in line with COPPA. Athletes 13 and up create their own login when they scan.

Can I try it before committing a whole team?

Yes. Create a free coach account, set up a team, and run it with a few players. There is no contract and nothing to cancel.

Bring it to one practice.
See who shows up.

Free for coaches. Your roster is on the app before they leave the field.
