Team training for softball and baseball coaches.

Assign the work. See who shows up. Position-specific daily sessions for your whole roster, on the app after one practice. Your dashboard shows who did the work this week and who went quiet.

One practice

Your whole team on the app in one practice.

Create your team and open the invite screen. It shows a QR code for your roster. At practice, hold up your phone and every athlete scans it; when they finish signing up they are already on your roster, with the sport, position and age paths set from what they enter. No codes to type, no spreadsheet of emails, and nothing for you to approve one by one.

  1. 01

    Create your team

Sign up as a coach, name your team, and pick softball or baseball. Takes a couple of minutes on your phone.

  2. 02

    Show the QR at practice

Open Invite Athletes. Hold the phone up, or print the flyer and tape it to the dugout fence.

  3. 03

    Athletes scan and they're on

Each scan opens a signup that is already tied to your team. Under-13 players go through a parent; everyone else is in before they leave the field.

Assign

Assign daily training to the roster.

A session is four blocks: warm-up, skill work, conditioning, cool-down. Thirty to forty-five minutes, timed, with cues for the athlete's position. You assign it to the team; each athlete opens the app and today's session is waiting. Here is what the athlete sees.

Position-specific, by sport

Softball and baseball each have their own drill paths. A softball catcher, a baseball pitcher and a 12U outfielder do not get the same session with the name changed.

Whole roster at once

Assign to the team, not athlete by athlete. Add your own game-situation lessons when you want the team working on something specific.

Solo, partner, or indoor

Every drill is flagged for where it can be done, so a player without a field or a partner still has a session tonight.

Short enough to get done

A 35-minute session gets finished on a school night. A 90-minute one waits for a weekend that never comes. The plan is built for the first kind.

Track

See who is doing the work.

Your roster board shows every athlete's current streak and sessions completed this week, sorted so the players on a run are at the top and the ones who have gone quiet are easy to find. Open any athlete for their full session history.

This is visibility, not surveillance. Athletes see their own streak and their teammates' consistency, and that does most of the motivating. You are not the enforcer; you just know, in October, who is actually training.

Two sports, not every sport

Built for softball and baseball, not every sport.

Cross-sport training apps treat a softball roster as a strength-and-conditioning group. Next Athletix only does softball and baseball, so the position work is the point, not an add-on.

A softball catcher's week

Receiving off a partner's front toss, blocking reps on a mat, throws to second counted in the build weeks and timed only when she is sharpening for tryouts. Throwing volume stays at the low end of the range because catchers take the most off-season abuse from bad volume. Tee and front toss on hitting days; conditioning is rotational and single-leg work that needs no gym.

A baseball pitcher's week

A throwing progression that climbs one step a week and comes back down before the season, flat-ground work before anything off a mound, and arm-care and trunk work in the conditioning block. Hitting days for the two-way kid. No velocity promises and no radar gun; the goal is a pitcher who arrives at tryouts with his arm in shape and his routine intact.

Scope

What Next Athletix is not.

It does one job: assign the daily work and show you who did it. If you need one of these, use the tool built for it and run Next Athletix alongside.

Not a scheduler

No game calendar, carpools or availability polls. TeamSnap does that well; keep using it.

Not a scorekeeper

No box scores or live game stats. That is GameChanger's job.

Not video analysis

No swing or pitch breakdowns. If you want frame-by-frame, use Onform or a lesson coach.

Not a recruiting service

The coach account assigns and tracks training. It does not promise anyone a roster spot, exposure or a scholarship, and it never will.

Coach FAQ

How do athletes join my team?

From your coach dashboard, open Invite Athletes. It shows a QR code and a link for your team. At practice, hold up your phone; each athlete scans the code, creates an account (or signs in), and is connected to your roster. You can also text the link or print the QR flyer.

What ages does it work for?

Youth through high school. Athletes 13 and up create their own login when they scan. Under 13, a parent creates the account first (COPPA) and connects the athlete to your team from the same invite. Sessions are built for the athlete's position and age.

Does it work for softball?

Yes. Softball and baseball have separate training paths. A softball catcher's sessions are not a baseball catcher's sessions with the word swapped, and the drills, distances and throwing volume reflect the sport she actually plays.

What do parents see?

A parent linked to an athlete sees that athlete's streak and session history, the same numbers you see for that one player. They do not see the rest of the roster, and the app does not send them messages on your behalf.

Can an assistant coach have access?

Yes. A team has an owner, head coaches and assistant coaches. Invite staff from your team page; assistants see the roster and assignments, and only the owner and head coaches can change staff.

Is there a cost to the coach?

No. A coach account is free, with no card required. Athletes subscribe individually: a free athlete account includes one sample session a week, and the full daily plan is on the Training plan at $20 a month per athlete with a 7-day free trial. Nothing is billed to you.
