Privacy Policy

Next Athletix (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information:name, email address (or a username, for children’s accounts), and authentication credentials when you sign up, including if you use Sign in with Apple or Google.
• Profile information: sport, positions, age, experience level, training preferences, team or school, graduation year, key stats, an optional phone number and X (Twitter) handle, and a profile photo, cover photo, gallery photos and video links if you add them.
• Training activity: training plans and workouts generated for you, the days you complete, check-ins and streaks, accomplishments, and colleges you save.
• Messages and content: messages between athletes and coaches, emails you draft in the app, and notes you write.
• Apple Health (iPhone app, optional): if you choose to connect Apple Health, the app reads only whether you have logged a workout today, to keep your streak up to date. Your workout details and other Health data stay on your device and are not sent to our servers or shared.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, and events such as signing up, checking in or saving a school, tied to your account so we can improve the product. Our websites also use cookies and similar identifiers, and analytics may derive an approximate location from your IP address.
• Payment information: billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the training and recruiting features
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send account-related emails (receipts, password resets)
• To generate personalized training plans, workouts and email drafts using artificial intelligence
• To measure how the product is used and to improve and debug the platform
• To let coaches you are connected with see your activity and assign work (see section 3)

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• Coaches and parents:coaches you join a team with or connect to can see your profile, activity and progress. Parents or guardians can see and manage their children’s accounts, and can choose whether new coaches need their approval before seeing a child’s information.
• Service providers that process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), PostHog (product analytics, which may include session recordings of website pages), Google Tag Manager (loaded on our website pages), and Brevo and Hostinger (email delivery).
• AI providers:to generate training plans, workouts and email drafts, we send the relevant profile details and text you provide to third-party AI model providers (currently Anthropic and OpenAI, through Vercel’s AI Gateway).
• Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect safety and rights.

4. Children’s Privacy

Users under 13 may only use Next Athletix through an account created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Parents can create accounts for children ages 5 to 17. A child’s account can be changed or deleted by the parent, and only the parent can delete it. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the Account page in the app or on the website (coaches: Coach Profile), or by emailing support@nextathletix.com. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@nextathletix.com to exercise these rights. You can also delete your account yourself from the Account page (coaches: Coach Profile); this cancels any active subscription and permanently removes your profile, plans, progress and uploaded photos.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy and updating the date above.
