Vouching for an athlete
What it is
A vouch puts your name on an athlete's public page as a coach who stands behind them. It only shows once the athlete, or a parent for a younger player, says yes.
How to use it
- Open an athlete on your roster. On their page, find the Vouch box and choose Vouch for them.
- The vouch is sent and shows as waiting. Nothing appears publicly yet.
- The athlete (or a parent, if the athlete is under 18) sees it under Coach vouches on their profile and can accept or decline.
- Once accepted, the athlete's public page shows your name and what you coach, for example "Coach Dana Lee, hitting coach".
- Change your mind? Choose Withdraw while it is waiting, or Remove my vouch after it is showing.
Rules and limits
- You can only vouch for athletes on your roster.
- One vouch per athlete. Sending it again just returns the one that exists.
- A family that declines a vouch is final: you cannot send it again, and you cannot clear the declined mark by withdrawing.
- A younger athlete cannot decide on their own. A parent chooses which vouches appear on their page.
- Only accepted vouches are ever shown publicly, with your name and role. An athlete or parent who accepted can remove it later.
- You can send up to 60 vouch requests an hour.
Edge cases
- If an athlete is not on your roster any more, or does not exist, you see the same not found response for both.
- The role shown next to your name comes from what you coach for that athlete (general shows as plain "coach").
- Removing an accepted vouch updates the athlete's public page right away.
