Drill library and video clips
What it is
Two things that help you build and coach a session. The drill library is a set of ready-made drills you can drop into a workout. Video clips let you send a short video to an athlete in your chat with them.
How to use it
Drill library:
- Start assigning a workout to one athlete or a group and choose to build it yourself.
- Choose Add from library. The list shows drills that fit the athletes you picked.
- Search by name or skill, then tap a drill to add it to the workout with its time and coaching cues. Edit it like any other row.
Video clips:
- Open the chat with an athlete and tap the paperclip.
- Choose a video from your device. An optional text message can go with it.
- The clip uploads and appears in the conversation. Tap it to play.
Rules and limits
- The library only offers drills that match the athletes you picked: the same sport and the age group of at least one of them. A mixed group sees the combined set.
- Everyone you pick must be on your roster, or the library does not load.
- The AI draft for a workout chooses from this same library when it can, so a drill you add by hand and one the AI picks come from the same set.
- Clips: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 60 seconds and 100 MB each, one per message. You can upload up to 30 clips an hour.
- You can only send a clip in a chat where you can post. Whoever is allowed to read a conversation can play its clips; if you lose access to an athlete, you lose their clips along with the chat.
- The library lists the drills we have written. You cannot add your own drills to it yet.
Edge cases
- If no library drills match your group, the workout screen says so and you write the drills yourself.
- A video that is too long is turned away before it uploads.
- The mobile app can send and play clips in chat, but does not have the library picker.
