Posting to X from Next Athletix

What it is

You can connect your X (Twitter) account and post to it from Next Athletix, so a recruiting update, a highlight or a shout-out to a program you like goes out without leaving the app. The post goes out from your own account, under your name.

How to use it

1. Connect your X account. On the web, open Edit profile and find Post to X, then choose Connect. In the mobile app, Post to X asks you to connect if you have not yet. X asks you to approve Next Athletix.
2. Write your post. On the web you can use the Post to X button on your Recruiting pages, on My schools and on a school's page. In the mobile app, use Post to X from your Accomplishments.
3. Add hashtags from the picker. It has lists for your sport and your own hashtags. You can add @mentions for the X accounts of the programs and coaches at the schools you saved.
4. In the mobile app you can attach up to 4 photos. Photos must be JPEG, PNG or WebP and under 4 MB each.
5. Tap Post to X. A "Posted" message confirms it is live.
6. To stop, tap Disconnect next to your connected account on the web. It shows as Connected as @yourname.

Rules and limits

• A post can be up to 280 characters. The counter turns red when you are over.
• Only accounts you connect yourself can post. Next Athletix posts only when you tap Post to X.
• The mentions list only offers X accounts we have on file for the schools you saved. Nothing is guessed.
• If X says you already posted the same text, you are asked to change it.
• If X is limiting posts, wait a few minutes and try again.

Edge cases

• If you see Reconnect your X account, your connection expired, was revoked or was made before photos were supported. Connect again. Your text is kept.
• The web composer posts text only. To attach photos, use the mobile app.
• Disconnecting stops Next Athletix from posting for you. It does not delete posts already on X.
• If posting is temporarily unavailable on our side, you see a message that it is not available right now.
