Affiliate program and referral links

What it is

A way for creators and coaches to earn 20% of the subscription money from the families they bring to Next Athletix, for as long as those families stay subscribed. Parents have a simpler version: share your link, and earn a free month or a merch pack when families you refer start paying.

How to use it

Becoming an affiliate

1. Go to the Affiliate Program page (/affiliates) and fill in your name, email, your main social platform and handle, optionally your audience size, and a short note.
2. Our team reviews every application. You get an email when you are approved or declined.
3. Once approved, create your account on the sign-up page, choosing Affiliate, with the same email you applied with. That connects your approval to your login.
4. Sign in and open your Affiliate dashboard (/affiliate). Copy your referral link, which looks like /r/yourcode, and share it anywhere.
5. Still on the dashboard, tap Set up payouts. Stripe collects your identity and bank details on its own pages; we never see them.

Referring as a parent

1. Open Refer a family (/referrals) and copy your link.
2. See how many people clicked, signed up and are paying, and how close you are to each reward.

Rules and limits

• Commission is 20% of what each referred customer actually pays, on every renewal, for the life of the subscription. Free trial invoices and $0 invoices earn nothing.
• Credit lasts 60 days from the click. Anyone who signs up within 60 days of clicking your link is credited to you, and the first affiliate to be credited keeps the credit. You cannot earn from your own signup.
• Your link only works while your account is active. A link shared before approval, or after a suspension, credits nothing, and a suspended affiliate stops earning on new invoices.
• Commission moves through four states on your dashboard: Pending (awaiting review), Approved (included in the next payout), Paid (sent to you) and Reversed (the order was refunded).
• If an order is refunded before the commission is paid out, the commission is reversed. Money already paid out is not taken back automatically.
• Payouts go to your bank through Stripe, and only after you finish payout setup and Stripe turns payouts on for your account.
• Parent rewards: 1 paying family earns a free month on your own subscription, and 5 paying families earn a Next Athletix merch pack. A family counts once they have an active or trialing subscription. These are separate from affiliate commission.
• The affiliate pages are on the website only; they are not in the mobile app.

Edge cases

• One application per email. Applying again with the same email is refused.
• If you sign up as an Affiliate before you are approved, or with a different email than you applied with, your dashboard shows a link that tracks clicks and signups but a "Not earning commission yet" notice. Apply with that account's email so a later approval connects to it.
• Until your application is approved, the dashboard shows that it is under review; your link goes live on approval.
• If you were rejected, the dashboard says your application was not approved. The decline email says you are welcome to apply again, but the form refuses an email that has applied before, so contact us instead.
• If Stripe says more information is needed, the button changes to Finish payout setup and picks up where you left off.
• Parents and other account types cannot open the affiliate dashboard; they see their own referral page or their normal home.
